1) Where do I start? How do I begin?

A good fit between you and your therapist is important. You’ll want to read each therapist’s bio carefully before you decide who to work with.

2) Can I meet face-to-face with my therapist?

If you work with one of our local CVC therapists, you can book face-to-face appointments in our Tin Town (Courtenay) office or meet your therapist online. Our office address is 2426-1B Rosewall Crescent, Courtenay, BC.

3) Can I meet my therapist remotely?

Some of our therapists work remotely only. This will be specified in your therapist’s bio. To work with your therapist online, you’ll require access to high speed internet and a quiet, private space. Computers, tablets and phones are all ideal devices to meet online.

4) How long are appointments?

Generally, appointments are 50 minutes long (unless specified otherwise by your therapist).

5) Cost?

Each therapist fee schedule is listed on the Jane booking page.

Payments are due at the time of the appointment. Generally, we accept payments via credit card through our online booking app, and they are automatically processed at the end of each appointment. If credit card payments are not feasible, we suggest discussing alternative arrangements with your therapist.

6) Insurance and Third Party Insurers?

If you have insurance that you believe covers some or all of your appointment costs, we recommend that you reach out to your insurance provider to confirm. Each insurance provider is a little different. If working with one of our RCC’s, you’ll want to clarify that they cover Registered Clinical Counsellors.

If you choose to work with one of our student interns, you’ll want to let your insurance provider know that the student is supervised by a Registered Clinical Counsellor and that we (CVC) will provide a receipt with the Supervisor’s Registration # on it.
