None of us were meant to carry life’s challenges alone.
Many of the people I meet feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about how to move forward. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, burnout, relationship challenges, parenting, infertility, grief, or a significant life transition, my hope is to offer a space where you feel deeply understood, emotionally safe, and supported.
My work is grounded in attachment theory and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), while thoughtfully integrating person-centred, strength-based, cognitive behavioural, and solution-focused approaches. Together, we’ll make sense of your experiences, strengthen your relationship with yourself and others, and work toward meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels right for you.
My path to counselling has been shaped by careers in education, entrepreneurship, and community leadership, each of which has deepened my appreciation for the resilience people show as they navigate life’s challenges and transitions.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Before becoming a counsellor, I spent five years as an elementary school teacher in Singapore and Canada before pursuing my passion for creativity and entrepreneurship by training in pastry arts in France and co-founding a wholesale bakery, which I owned and operated for more than a decade.
As a wife and mother to two boys, my family’s story has included both adoption and in vitro fertilization. Together with my personal and professional experiences, these chapters of my life have deepened my appreciation for resilience, belonging, relationships, and the many transitions that shape our emotional well-being. They continue to inform the empathy, curiosity, and hope I bring into every therapeutic relationship.
Beyond my counselling work, I remain actively involved in my community and currently serve as Chair of the Comox Valley District Parent Advisory Council Anti-Racism Committee. I value creating spaces where people feel seen, respected, and welcomed, and those same values continue to shape the way I approach counselling.
I work with children (10+), youth, and individual adults experiencing concerns such as:
As I await approval of my BCACC registration, my services are not yet eligible for insurance reimbursement. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Outside the counselling room, I feel most grounded spending time with my family, exploring the outdoors, experimenting in the kitchen, and finding moments of quiet reflection. If you know me well, you’ll also know I have a bit of a soft spot for potatoes in almost every form—a small reminder that joy is often found in life’s simplest things.
