Interns

Comox Valley Counselling provides the opportunity for learning therapists to grow in their clinical skills while completing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology or Social Work. We also value the opportunity to provide clients with a low-cost support option. Our Master’s level counselling interns are directly supervised on an ongoing weekly basis by a Registered Clinical Counsellor and onsite clinical supervisor, as well as overseen by the Master’s level counselling program through their affiliated academic program.

Sessions with Counselling Interns are $60/ 50 minutes.

About Kelly

I am currently a practicum student of counselling psychology and have completed my master’s coursework. I hold an undergraduate degree in psychology and have years of experience in inclusive care, outreach, and community support work. In my personal life I seek social connection and truly believe in the importance of deep relationships. Together we might explore setting boundaries, practicing clear and effective communication, uncovering and leading with authenticity.

I celebrate the unique human experience and incorporate this by holding a client-centered approach. I am interested in learning more about how we physically, cognitively, and emotionally engage with the world and will work with you to increase awareness of all these parts.

I hope to continue my studies in mindfulness and somatic approaches after completing this master’s program. I am honoured to be learning about this work and am excited to facilitate connection and healing for those I have the privilege of supporting. You can find me in my garden, in the community forest trails, at live music events, and exploring expression through dance and movement.
